Fear is a powerful emotion. It can shake us, paralyze us, and make us doubt. But faith has a response to fear—trust in God. Psalm 56:3 declares this truth beautifully:
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” – Psalm 56:3
Notice the verse doesn’t say, “If I am afraid,” but “When I am afraid.” Fear is something we will all face at some point. But God has given us the key to overcoming it: trust in Him.
Faith Answers Fear with Trust
Fear whispers lies—telling us we are alone, that the worst will happen, that we are powerless. But faith speaks louder, reminding us that we are never alone, that God is in control, and that His power is greater than any fear.
Faith doesn’t ignore fear—it confronts it and replaces it with truth.
What Happens When We Trust God?
When we choose trust over fear, something incredible happens: peace replaces panic. We no longer rely on our own ability to fix things, but instead lean on God's promises.
Faith reminds us that God is greater than any fear we face.
Choosing Faith Over Fear Daily
Trusting God is not just a one-time decision—it’s a daily choice. Whenever fear tries to creep in, we must remind ourselves to put our trust in Him.
How can we do this?
When fear comes knocking, let faith answer the door. Because when we put our trust in God, fear loses its power.
Faith says, “I trust You, Lord.”
Faith says, “You are with me.”
Faith says, “I will not be afraid.”
Let’s choose faith over fear today—and every day.
